Flex have been promising an HTML5 version for many years now (since 2018), however other HTML5 apps are already available, meaning Flex will always be playing catch-up.
Flex have released Flex5, their HTML5 version that works without the now obsolete Flash, however it is incomplete and not very functional, thus Flex5 didn't make this list, as to do some things, you have to go back and use the Flash version.

We also felt it was too incomplete and geared towards the micro company mobile DJ market.

However it is quite basic and lacks many of the features that all the other Software for Hire Companies have. It is another old legacy Windows based rental inventory management system, however due to it's high price, high setup costs, we and lack of features compared to others, we downgraded it.
Insphire have released a very limited and expensive cloud software called On-Rent, but it has hardly any features, only has online support and is very expensive for a very basic system.
Concerning us is that Insphire are now insisting users sign upto a 3 year contract to lock them in. Why would this be necessary, unless it is to stop users leaving when they want to and lock them into an agreement they don't want to be a part of? We also do not like how once you stop paying for support, they disable remotely disable the software, even after you paid for it. In our opinion, practices like these are something only a dishonest company would do.

It has added a few new features over the years, but not at the pace of some of the others, so it is falling further behind. It is quite reasonably priced, and we feel is suited for small one man operations.

Upon testing we saw it didn't do much, has hardly any features, only has online support and is very expensive for what little it has to offer. You also have to pay extra to have customisable documents, something every other cloud offering includes for free, and ontop of that you have to pay OnRent to a large fee to make them. The only reason anybody would pay for this or use it over the others, is that they don't know about the other cloud offerings, many of which are far supperior and far cheaper. As it is new, maybe it will get better, however it has been in development for years, thus they are far behind others.
